THONGS REQUIRED?!

And the sign read “Thongs Required”.  Gill swallowed hard, looked over his shoulder to where Vernon McMahon, Louie, and several others from the Peak stood buck ass naked.  Even their wives and girlfriends sat back on the beach nude.  Who the hell had put up a sign bearing such?

“How do we comply with this?” Louie asked moving forward.  “I mean it’s a nude beach.  It’s not like we’re going to have those stuffed in a back pocket.”
Vernon clapped his hand over his mouth.  It didn’t do much good.  Gaffs of laughter spilled out.  Gill watched Phil walk up to the sign point at it and then boldly give it the finger.  The bird as some referred to the middle finger cheer many humans used as they drove down the highway of life.

“Gentlemen,” Tyburn began as he reached the group.  “We’re heading to the bar for drinks and food, aren’t we?"

“We were.  Until that.”  Gill pointed at the sign five hundred yards from the bar.  The overhead sun blocked a clear view into the outdoor bar.  How many patrons complied with the posted requirement couldn’t be determined.

Tyburn looked back to where Rachel stood shielding her eyes.    She motioned to him with a ‘come here’ wave.  He held up one finger.  Facing back to the group, he asked, “Where do we find those?”

Phil moved back even with the group, opening his mouth ready to speak when  a semi-clad woman walked past them and stopped within a few feet.  She leaned over, sat down the bag she carried and shimmed out of the thong bottom of her bathing suit.  Never mind she was topless.  She stood up, picked up the bag, after bunching her bathing suit bottom in her other hand, and took off trotting down the beach.

Gill didn’t bother to chastise the others standing next to him with their mouths hanging open.  No doubt his gaped in the wind with theirs.  Two men walked out, stopped approximately the same place the woman had.  Each wore swimwear.  Moments later they didn’t.  Their swimwear, gripped in their hand, flapped in the breeze as they strolled toward the shoreline and where their families probably lounged.

“This is beginning to be a real undertaking,” Phil muttered.

Louie grinned, and pointed as two middle-aged couples walked up.  The men stopped short of the sign, shook out what appeared to be swimwear from the tote bags they carried.  The women with them did the same.  Each pulled the bottoms on.  Tyburn, Phil, Gill and Louie all groaned as they walked away.  The men’s covered fronts weren’t at issue nor were the women’s covered crotches.  Their backsides left plenty to continue catching the air.

Vernon motioned the group to him.  “Look there’s a swim suit shop down the beach.  Let me procure what we need.”

The group agreed and handed him part of the money they had intended for buying lunch.

Back out on the beach, Elly and Chloe gathered up the children.  “I thought the guys would be back with food by now,” Phil’s wife Gladys said.

“Me too,” Rachel chimed in.  “Tyburn gets antsy when his stomach growls.”

“I’ll check on them if you like,” Elly offered, pulling on her bathing suit bottom.

“I suspect we all need to go check on them,” Chloe stated putting on her bottom as well.

Soon the four bottom clad women faced toward the area where the bar and shops marked the start of the beach.  “Bettina are you going with us?” Elly asked pausing near the second sun umbrella close to their belongings.

“Not in that heat and sun.  I’ll be charcoal in seconds.”  Bettina picked up the tube of sunscreen and lathered more on.  “I’ll stay with the kids.  They’re all conked out right now.”  Close to her lay the triplets and twins along with Phil’s kids, eyes shuts as their chests rose and fell indicating they slumbered.

The women made their way to the bar and strolled inside.  Three feet in and off to their right sat their men folk.  Clad as the sign required.  Four sets of male not quite bare arses sat at the bar.  Their towels hung over the bar stools as they perched very precariously on the cool metal stools.  Chloe pointed as she leaned close to the other women saying, “Gee lace and red do become them don’t you think?”

Elly nodded smiling, as did Rachel and Gladys.  The men each wore dark red lacy women’s thong panties.  Elly spoke as the women grouped around her.  “Vernon has a hard time judging sizes and letting a practical joke pass by.”

HAPPY WEEKEND GANG!

Never a dull moment with our gang from the Peak.  Let's hope the joke doesn't back fire on Vernon.  Of course all of them did put their red lacy thong panties on.  I hope you enjoyed your giggle as much as I enjoyed mine writing this.  Who's to say that unisex panties don't have a future?

Enjoy the warm weather and stay safe.  Those sudden storms are deadly some times.  Remember to share a good book or two with your spice as you stay safe and warm.   I know I am.

Until Next Week,

RELAXATION STARTS

HAPPY WEEKEND GANG!

This week the gang from the Peak are off on vacation. They invited Pris (my muse) and I along.  Something about a few beers and some song writing for the festival.  I hear Louie, Vernon McMahon, Gill and a few others have started a band. We'll have to see what they come up with.  Chloe and Bettina accompanied by Rachel are taking turns enjoying the beach and surf while watching the kids.

Beach and surf you say?  I don't know where the women folk headed off to for sure.  I know this much they said I'm supposed to keep the men folk in line.  I shook my head and ran away screaming no to that job description.  Maybe they're some where in Florida visiting Chloe's family or the west coast enjoying California sunshine.

Me?  I'm staying home by choice.  Too much money to go somewhere anymore.  Cramped airlines, hotel costs, and the prices for food...I can buy groceries and gas for my car for a couple of weeks on what it costs to go much of any where. I'd rather chill, sleep, and write.  I know the next Cascade Bay book is ready to spill out.  So me and Pris got a date getting another book written and submitted.

What are some of your favorite vacation spots?  Here are a few of mine:

1.  Santa Barbara, CA

2.  San Francisco, CA

3.  Monterrey, CA

4.  Florida (various places)

5.  Virginia  (Home turf)

I look forward to reading what some of yours are.  I will catch up with you all next week.  I bet there are some good lyrics happening as the boys burn the midnight candle and have another root beer.
I'm busy sharing a good book or two with my loves and spice.  I know you are too.

Until Next Week,

WHERE DID THE DRAGON GO?

“GILLL!” echoed through the layers of sleep wrapped around him.  Another shriek and two more loud cries had him on his feet ready to scamper.  Scamper where?

Gill tried to stop the yawn threatening to overtake him when Chloe trotted into the living room holding one of the triplets.  He waved with one hand while rubbing his eye with the other.  Giving into the yawn, he moved toward her.  The look on her face said something wasn’t right.  He reached for Chloe when she spoke.

“There’s---there was---oh mixed nuts.  Now there’s a strange man standing in our kitchen.  And he’s naked!”  Chloe stepped away from him.  She moved to the rocker, sitting precariously in it while holding a bottle in one hand.

Gill shook his head.  Their guest was awake. And human.  Time to set things right, especially about running around naked in the mayor’s house.  You got an invitation first then you shucked your clothes.  Of course, that was on hot tub nights.  Not the middle of icy snow storms.

“I’ll take care of this.  You stay here.  I’ll explain later.”  Gill didn’t wait for Chloe’s response.  He picked up his pace wanting to make sure their guest didn’t escape.

Gill skidded to a halt as he stepped into the kitchen.  A short dark haired man looked up from where he sat sipping coffee as if he sat naked in the kitchen doing this every day.  His beard matched the hair on his head, chest, and crotch.  Not that Gill cared.  Though avoid the eyeful wasn’t in the works as the dude stood and faced him.

“Woody B. Humphries,” he said holding out his hand.  “W.B. to many.”

Gill swallowed hard.  The legendary guitar player of Animal Riots stood in front of him.  A man who won more Grammies, music awards, and fame than many others in the music industry did.   His nudity didn’t appear to bother him.  Deities how had he end up in the kitchen?  Unless---no he couldn’t be could he? A dragon shifter?

HAPPY WEEKEND GANG!

Please tell me there isn't a naked dragon sitting in your kitchen drinking coffee as if he does this regularly.  Last I checked there wasn't one in mine.  Of course, this is the Peak and unusual is normal here.

I hope you are enjoying our warm weather in between the rain storms.  Parts of the country need the water.   Others can do without the tornadoes.  Let's also be generous and give to a known charity to help out our fellow world citizens in Nepal.    Check with your local Better Business Bureau or churches to see who is taking donations.  I understand some are asking for goods as well as money.

Our festival appears to be getting headliners to rock the attendees.  Let's see what next week's installment brings.  Until then, remember to share a few good books with your loves and spice.  I know I am!

Until next week,

Would Be Rock Star or Did Someone Order A Dragon?

Gill roused, cocked his head, and listened.  The noise sounded again, louder this time than last.  Moving carefully to not wake Chloe, he rose.  He stuck his feet in his slippers and pulled on his bathrobe.  A chill had taken over the town again.  Great fluffy gray clouds blocked out the sun most of the last month.  The weather center predicted a late spring snowfall overnight.

Half way down the hall, the noise grew in volume again.  Gill crept to the top step and paused.  Listening intently, he frowned.  Who snored so loud that the whole house seemed to snore with them?  No guests occupied the other bedrooms.  Was some dumb ass burglar trying to break in?  Or get out?  Whatever they were doing it was loud enough to broadcast they wanted capture.

As Gill made his way down the stairs hoping, the creaks and groans didn’t give his approach away the snore as he called it ebbed.  Moments later as he grabbed the baseball bat he kept in the kitchen, bursts of light lite up the patio.  Gill rushed to the door ready to club whoever was out there.  As another blast of light flashed, he swallowed hard.  Shaking his head, he looked out the window again.

Curled up with its tail over its long nose and horns, a large dragon lay sleeping.  How the hell had he ended up on the patio?  That was one question that could wait until morning.  As the old saying went, do not disturb a sleeping dragon lest you want your shorts singed.  And Gill valued what his shorts would be covering if he had any on.

HAPPY WEEKEND GANG!

Looks like the roadies and out of town guests for the Spring Band Festival are arriving.  A dragon though?  Has Chloe got some usual relatives she has told Gill about?  Or what?  Stay turned as I got a feeling this is going to be an unique festival.

Happy Spring and then .....more &**(&()*& snow?  I've heard from some Facebook friends snow is still happening from time to time.  The Spice homestead has a freeze warning in effect.  Keep warm and sharing a few good books with your spice and loves.  I know I am.

Until next week,

Sleep isn't Underrated

Gill fluffed his pillow again. He watched Chloe burp each of the triplets after nursing them. Three sleeping children and now he was to do the same. Another night of sleep sounded delicious.  The past week with nights filled with sleep of eight or more hours left him feeling energized and rested.

“Whoever said sleep was overrated apparently didn’t go without it often,” Chloe surmised crawling into bed next to him.   “Quiet and rest are something parents need.”

“Kids too.  We better get em trained when they start insisting on their independence.”  Gill smiled remembering the parenting book Louie and Bettina gifted them recently.

“Agreed.  By then Rachel and Tyburn’s twins will need a firmer hand too.  So we need to get a united front going.”  Chloe yawned and leaned back into her pillow.

Gill yawned twice as he reached toward the lamp on his bedside table.  “Tomorrow is soon enough to contemplate more.”

Moments of quiet passed before soft snores started to sound.  Sleep was once again a welcome guest at the mayoral mansion.

Happy Weekend Gang!

End of the quarter is here.  End of month as well.  Day job is morphing into a lot of different things.

The spice homestead is pulsing right along.  I'm sorry for the short post.  Like Gill and Chloe, sleep is running short last few weeks.  I'm off to write a bit before I take a nap.

Keep a few good books handy to share with your loves and spice.  I know I am as soon as I finish writing them.

Until Next Week,

Solara
