RIP L.A. Banks.
I admit I did not write a blog yesterday. I spent it re-reading favorite passeges from books penned by a very special lady. I have nothing for you but sad, sad news. Paranormal romance lost a great, shining beacon yesterday. L.A. Banks passed away after a long, gruesome battle with cancer. Ms Banks was a very prolific writer, penning vampire and werewolf romance, true crime, thriller, horror, suspense and about a half dozen other genres, all under several different pen names. To add to all of that talent, she was the rare romance author who wrote primarily inter-racial stories. We really lost a shining beacon yesterday.

Oh no! I knew she was ill and battling cancer. Yes, Rest In Peace, L.A. Banks. May the Other Side be much more than you ever expected.
My thoughts and healing energies go out to her family and friends. May her soul be at peace.
As they say, "everybody dies but not everybody lives." This woman should be an inspiration to us all. Just thinking about how many excellent, quality books she churned out while terminally ill boggles my mind!
Rebecca, so true! She is an inspiration.
It shames me to say it, given my genre, but I can't recall reading one of her books. I'll definitely look for them now, and offer a prayer for those she left behind.
