I don’t know if this is true for other authors, but usually I go into a type of shock or surreal feeling of not quite believing I did finish and submit. I feel off kilter, airy inside. Does that make any sense?
Though, when the edits arrive, it all becomes too real. Suddenly.
I’m assuming... hope, hope... that everything will go well, since this particular book was contracted. But, still, ya never know.
Yeah, I’m verra happy with the way the story turned out... I love my heroine, Kylie, who turns out to be one tough cookie when the chips are down... and, of course, I fell in love with her three heroes, Dillon, Dono and Dash.
The truth is I’m tingly-excited and thrilled about their love story... and, most important to me, I’d want to read the book if I hadn’t written it.
Okay, maybe I’m being conceited here. Still, I only write erotic romance novels I want to read.
And, nope, this one is not a shapeshifter story. Though, of course, Kylie and her Texans shift in who they are... they all grow in several ways. And, after all, if you found yourself in another Earth dimension, like Kylie does, where the Old West still lives... or Sliders meets Bonanza, then meets The Three Star Republic of Texas... you’d adapt and grow simply to survive.
Here’s the blurbie so far ~
It’s 2009... Kylie is on the run from the law for a crime she didn’t commit. She’s desperate for a safe place to hide. A promising doctoral student, she’s lost everyone and almost everything, except for what she can stow in her car. Now, Kylie has to salvage the rest of her life. But, where? In this age of GPS tracking, TV’s Most Wanted and cameras everywhere.
It’s 2009... Dillon, Dono and Dash, three Texas brothers are desperate for a wife to brand as their own. The Union made women scarce in the Three Star Republic by releasing a bio weapons’ plague during the border wars. These tough-as-leather Texans will do anything to find and keep the right woman, even if they have to lasso her like a wild filly and love on her until she loves them back.
Yes, I’ve always wanted to write a Western with a Happily Ever After. Now, I’ve done it, complete with a monster pickup chase scene and an ambush bang-bang shoot out where death isn’t a stranger. And since it’s an erotic romance... the dang doors are ripped right off.

So, what comes next? I think I hear the howling of those wolfies. Looks like Sondra and Duke

Plus, I have a couple of other projects in mind, novella-sized stories. I hope. Since Branded is well over 110,000 words. And I need a break!
Speaking of Werewolves... anyone seen the new Wolfman movie?
So far, I’ve heard one individual say they hated it and another say they loved it.
BTW ~ what are your fave Werewolf/Wolf movies, TV shows and/or books?
