Six Sentence Sunday - A Magical Return

Welcome!  The following six is from my recent release, A Magical Return.

Enjoy!

“Fine, Fine, you were right, I should have been more careful about the reveal. Will you stop yelling at me now, Cole?”

Con rose with an unconscious Emma in his arms. Goddess above, it felt good to have her there again. Too many years had escaped him in the second realm, years of dreaming about holding his love again. Well now he held her, only she’d chosen a moment of oblivion rather than dealing with his miraculous rebirth.

Our Release Days are Here!!

Hey all of our wonderful readers, Solara and I would like to share our happy news...this is our week for new releases!! I know this is normally Pat's day to blog, but she was awesome and insisted we share our good news. Thanks Pat!

Without further ado...

A Magical Return, available today, Is the story of Conleth “Cole” Douglas and Emterra “Irene” Azzurra, vessels to a magical race called the Others, are compelled to save their town from a dark evil. The question is—will they save their love as well?

Excerpt:

Emma knew the sexy guy was following her, but had no idea why. When she’d stopped to again mourn the ramshackle little stand that had once been home to the flowers that filled her with such peace, she’d caught sight of him. He watched her with a familiar longing in his eyes, one she remembered seeing in Conleth’s face many a time. Gods, would she ever move past her pain?

“Hey, why are you following me?” She hollered back at the stranger. Probably not the best of ideas, but then neither would it be to allow him to follow her all the way home.

“To be honest, I happened to notice the altercation you had back there with that guy; I thought it might be a good idea to make sure you get home okay.”

His words zapped Em through the heart. The last person to worry, truly worry, about her safety, was Conleth. All through high school, he’d been there to keep the bullies at bay. He picked her up and either drove or followed her home after a late shift at the local grocery store. He’d always been there to protect her.

During her darkest time, her search for her past, he’d been there. Through the disappointments, the escape through drink and drugs, he’d been there. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at this innocent stranger’s face.

“That was quite nice of you, but while my ex-husband is an ass, in every sense of the word, he is also a wimp.”

Em stepped back as fury filled this man’s face. Gone was the sweet worried expression of a do-gooder, replacing it was the look of a jealous lover. Hands gripped her arms, squeezing like a vice.

“You married the ASS! Goddess above, Emma, the ASS.”

“Get your hands off me! NOW!” Em pulled free of his bruising grip and backed out of his reach. “Who are you?” she demanded in her authoritarian voice.

“I don’t care if she’s not ready. Change me, now, Cole.”

Her sexy, sweet stranger turned into the freak from the black lagoon, right before her eyes. He appeared to be talking to someone, but there were only the two of them there. Em continued to move backwards, never taking her eyes off the man.

Her apartment was only two blocks away, but she really didn’t want this freak knowing where she lived. Nor did she want to make herself an easy target by not taking cover immediately.

“Now, Cole, I have to tell her...”

Em slipped off her heels as he continued to talk to himself or his invisible friend. She was prepared to run in stocking feet if that’s what it took to get away. She turned on a dime and took off in the direction of her home, eager to get a head start on this guy in case he was a fast runner.

“Emma, wait,” he hollered.

“Leave me alone, freak!” she screamed and continued to run.

“Emterra Irene Azzurra, please don’t run from me.”

Em faltered. The use of her name stunned her. So few people knew her full name, even after Conleth had screamed it into the crowd that long night ago; they remembered the pain, but not the name. It was plausible someone may have remembered, but the voice that currently hollered it, was the same voice from ten years ago. The same voice that whispered his amazement at the miracle of the baby bird’s recovery, the same voice that had tucked her into bed and told her it loved her since she’d turned eighteen. It was also the voice she imagined each time she brought herself to release by toy or by hand.

Enjoy tomorrow's blog hop!

ADULT EXCERPT
“Care for a taste before the main course?” He pressed against her lips.
Val’s tongue slipped up and down his palm and laved his fingers before she suckled two into her mouth, nipping at his fingertips as he worked them in and out. “Eager and ready, I see.”
Val slurped his fingers in one last time and released them. “I like the taste, but the appetizer wasn’t enough. More please.” Her grin and dip of her head toward his cock urged him forward.
Mason stuffed two more pillows behind him and slid lower on the bed. “Hope this makes things easier for you.” He spread his legs apart and tucked his hands behind his head. “Go for it. I’m all yours.”
* * * *
Darryl’s panting and grunts caught Mason’s attention. He watched as Darryl kneeled on the bed, using Val’s hips to steady him. Moving slowly across the mattress, he stopped close to her. His quirky grin said his ironic sense of humor had taken flight. “Thank God we aren’t on a blasted water bed, or we’d all be green from the motion.”
Mason snorted. “That’s for sure.”
Val chuckled. Her warm breath oozed over Mason’s cock. Much more and he’d come as soon as she took him in. Her words indicated he didn’t have long to wait. “Since we don’t have to worry, I’m enjoying my main course.”
“Oh, sweet heaven. Yes!” Mason jerked his hips partly off the mattress. The heat of Val’s mouth engulfed him. She lapped the tip of her tongue around in circles before easing more of him deeper into her mouth. “Ah-aah. So good...I’m going to come from my balls on this one.” Mason arched his back and squinted.
* * * *
Darryl eased two fingers into Val’s hot sheath and thrust. Her wetness flowed over his fingers and lubed part of his palm. Turning his hand sideways, he found her clit and began rubbing in short and tight circles across her swollen crest. Her throaty uhhmmm and backward thrust said more than if she’d spoken.
“Yes, love. Enjoy.” Darryl worked his fingers in and out, stroking Val’s clit in between. Mason’s eyes narrowed as her head began bobbing in earnest.
Darryl snuggled up tight to her and pressed home, guiding his cock deep into her. “Wet, hot, and—aah.” He gasped and grabbed her hips, holding her tight to him.
Spasm after spasm squeezed him, bringing him closer to the edge. Val could come several times before she hit her hard, bliss-causing one. Darryl slowly eased back, taking his time to rub against her G-spot before sliding almost all the way out. He waited as her wetness washed over him, lubricating the condom and him.
“Slow down, love,” Darryl whispered, leaning forward and nipping her shoulder. “I want us to come together. Let’s try and keep up with each other.”
* * * *
Mason twisted the bedspread. “I don’t know how much longer...I–I–I can last.” He panted and shook his head. “This is so damn good. Better than my fantasies ever were or could be. Milk me dry, love.”
* * * *
Val arched her back as Darryl nipped closer to her neck and pushed back into her pussy. Heat and need coiled tighter and deeper in her belly. Mason’s hands dropped the bedspread and clutched her head, holding her steady as he began thrusting with faster and shorter strokes in and out of her mouth. As if Darryl could read and feel the rhythm, he quickened his pace, working his thrusts counter to Mason’s.
Val could feel Mason getting harder and warmer with each thrust. His hips jerked upward and remained off the bed. His balls tapped her chin with each shudder. Keeping suction as steady as she could, she pulled back, slackening off on how much of Mason she took. She bobbed down and released him. “Signal when you are ready to blow. I will swallow but need to know so I don’t choke.” She reached for him, ready to tuck him back into her mouth.
“Not yet.” Mason covered his cock. “I want to watch Darryl work you into a frenzy. See you come once before I cream for you.” He slipped his hand up and down his shaft before returning to the head and squeezing. “Oh, yes. I can last a bit longer. Make her come, Darryl. Get her so wet she can’t hold back.”

Sunday Smiles

Good Morning and Happy Sunday smiles to everyone out there.  I just had to share my happy news!  A Magical Return now has a cover!  Woot!!

Cover Artist, Amanda Kelsey, has scored big once again, in my book, with this rocking, sexy, I'm never letting go of you looking cover.  The colors are perfect for the story, the woman has that delicious gleam in her eye and the guy is just plain hawt!  Plus, check that tat...can you get a Charley horse from smiling? ~wink~

I gush because honestly I still feel like a newbie in this world wind life of an author.  Who knows, maybe a new cover still feels this way (I hope, I hope) even after the 10th, 15th or 20th book.  ~fingers crossed my muse and luck hold out that long!~

So how about a blurb to go along with this lovely cover?  I'm still looking for excerpts so I'll have to get back to you with that,  but I do have a Sunday Snippet.  Enjoy!

Blurb:

The Loss

Conleth “Cole” Douglas, warlock and vessel, needs a miracle. A destructive force has taken hold of his town and it will take more than just he and his magical Other, Cole, to eradicate the Evil. When an attempt to open his lover, Emterra, to their shared destiny fails, Conleth and Cole take extreme measures to stop the rising darkness. Their only option: take it, and themselves, into another realm.

Emterra “Irene” Azzurra, untapped witch and vessel, has given up on finding her own happy-ever-after. Devastated by the loss of her one and only love she becomes disinterested and remote, closed off from a life without Conleth. Even her job as the mayor of the dying town of Douglasville, MO, fails to sustain her, until she gets a blast from the past…

The Return

He’s back, alive and whole, but he didn’t come alone. The evil they’d hoped to contain in a distant realm has returned with him and is out to finish the job it started. There can be no failure this time, the now middle-aged, Emterra must accept her Other or doom the town to an agonizing death.

Skeptical of his sudden homecoming, Emterra is afraid to hope that his return could be true. She balks at the idea of opening her heart to him again. Especially when he looks like the same young Goth from ten years ago and tries to convince her she’s sharing skin with a magical being.

Can Conleth prove his claims of magic and the Others to be true? Can Emterra allow herself to believe in love and his wild claims? Or will the returning Evil finally swallow this town and all its inhabitants into the deepest realms of hell.

Snippet:
Giant plumes of fire shot into the air, bracketing both the stage and Conleth ‘Cole’ Douglas within their heated embrace. The pyrotechnic display filled the night sky with showers of crackling flames.

An unknown force had let loose a demon within the town of Douglasville. Malevolent was too nice a word for this beast. This evil was a promise maker, a soul sucker, a bloody life taker, and now it was Conleth’s job to send it back to hell. The only problem--he wasn’t nearly strong enough on his own. For this, he needed Em.

Emterra Azzurra was many things to him, his friend and lover, his soul mate--but right now what he needed the most was the thing inside her. Deep within the body, he knew quite intimately, was a being of magic, a source of goodness, an Other--one who had the ability to work with his own Other to defeat the evil bearing down on them now.
