Happy Shapeshifting May Day

Now, if we could only find a maypole, the revelry could really begin... bunny babes springing and shaking their tails in invitation while they dance and twine blossom-colored ribbons around the maypole... tankards of carrot ale... lusty looks from their bright brown eyes... the teasing twitches of their long silky ears... then, rolling together in the sweet moist grass of early evening... doing the wild rabbit thing once the moon rises... where is that dang maypole? Doesn't anyone believe in fertility anymore?

BUNNIES!

I've got at least 3 in my yard: the one who lives under my shed and two of his/her friends. One hangs around a lot, the second only shows up now and then. I've named them Fred, Wilma and Barney.

I'm hoping for baby bunnies but there's a cat across the street so I don't know.

I just saw one of the bunnies yesterday by the fenceline that borders the neighbor's pasture. There's good cover there.

Yeah, if the cat is a hunter, not a good thing.

No bunnies hang out in our area...with two dachshunds of our own and another three between my folks and sibling, rabbits tend to stay away or risk becoming hasenpfeffer. ~wink~

Happy May Day!

Serena, smart bunnies! Yeah, they stay away from my canine critters, too.
