Just so you know, yes, I did change the pictures. I found a rather terrifying blog about what happened to one blogger who used random man candy pix she found on the inter-webs. What you have here are four of my own custom man candies. One is a PG-17 version of Dante from this year's calendar, one is an experiment with nude art lighting, one is a character from my Wild Lords books, and the other is an idea I've been experimenting with for next year's Talbot's Peak calendar, where I work the ladies into the man candy shots.

OH, LORDY! my lust meter hit the top, and I was feeling out of it.
Talbot's Peak Hunks, I assume. ~big smiles~
Fat Aussie Bastard ~ Your title will certainly catch everyone's attention. I mean that as a positive. What kind of cover art are you going with?
Sorry, I didn't mean to make you lust meter break. =D
I am going to make my own cover for it, since it's going to be self-pub'd. To be honest with you, I'm not totally set on whether to go with the basic guy and lady cover or try for something more shape shifter-y.
Cool, I'll be looking forward to what you come up with. I'd definitely go with sexy shape shifter-y since that's the readership the book will appeal to.
Smashwords is really going for it bigtime. I just got an email with their library distribution announcement, and with their other GOOD strides forward in the ebook marketplace. Plus, their authors are making top ten lists. Sure would like to be in that crowd. ~grins~
Yummy, man candy! Nice and hard with the creamy centers. All I need is a little chocolate and I'm a happy girl.
Yay! Another calendar! I've got the current one on my desk in the office. Will the guys be nude and the women in their animal forms?
Guys mostly nude, some still partially changing to/from their animal forms. Some ladies in animal form, some not. You can see in picture #1, our man candy specimen still has his tail.
Forgot to mention, if you click on the pictures, they will pop up as full-sized.
Rebecca, I'm clicking!
Yeah, I read that blog about the author's HUGE trials and tribulations. And I've been more careful simply because I don't want to violate someone's copyright. However, really, she must have had a poor lawyer. She took down the pic immediately per the DMCA. That's all that should have been required. Paying... well, whoever just gauged her because they could. Who pays us authors for how many illegal downloads of our books?
And, really, WHOEVER the guy/photographer was, what an idiot! He could have gotten far more by simply asking, and looking for a good way to make far more money than he did.
I agree, she got the short end of the stick, probably called one of those lawyer help lines and was told to just pay up. On that note, though, I don't want to have to worry about it and I have a few hundred pix that I've made over the years while teaching myself how to light 3D models. No need to court mischief...
Rebecca, I totally agree. I wish I had the time and means to create my own digital art pics. I'd love it.
As it stands, I need every moment to continue writing my books.
