Happy 2013, Shape Shifter lovers! Not much of a blog today. I was checked out for most of December because I got totally obsessed with a new master plot idea for my Hunt Lords stories. I had planned on self-pubing a Christmas story and putting out a book of short stories for Talbot’s Peak but none of that happened, all because I saw an article on Lightning Ridge black opals. I have been picking through the 3 working manuscripts that I have going for the Hunt Lords, inserting bits and pieces of this new plot idea.
This is major, mainly because once I expanded these stories from short stories into full-length novels, I realized there really wasn’t any driving reason for these shape shifting elves and dark fae to be bouncing all over the known universe chasing after each other. In short, the stories were kind of dry. We’ll see if this new angle ups the interest level. If so, maybe I’ll finally be comfortable submitting the new manuscripts. In the meantime, I need to post something—preferably not just rambling apologies/excuses. So here are some funny animal pictures.

No need for apologies or excuses. You're a writer; you got inspired. These things are expected of us creative types.
Self-pubing, on the other hand ... that sounds painful. Wouldn't self-pubbing be better?
Oh, holy typos; that would definitly leave a mark... and maybe a little emotional scaring. Good catch, though!
Yeah, the Muse is a wondrous but fickle being... which is why a short story turned into a full length novel. ~sighs~
Love the pics, especially the first one.
Glad you were inspired by the black opals... sounds fascinating!
Oh my, I love those pics! Especially karma. hehe
Congrats on the major story break thru! Ya gotta love when that happens. :D
