Sherilyn gradually surfaced from a dreamless sleep...
Sherilyn gradually surfaced from a dreamless sleep, yet didn't fully awaken. Feeling better than she had for ages, she rolled on her side and snuggled deeper into the soft yet firm mattress.
When had she been to able to luxuriate in bed recently? When had her bed ever been quite this comfortable? Or this big?
Her eyelids popped open. Disoriented, Sherilyn blinked, trying to make sense of her surroundings in the dim room.
Where the freaking hell was she? How, when, why?
Slightly dizzy, she closed her eyes, and fought to remember. Anything at all.
She didn't appear to be in any danger. With that thought, Sherilyn blanked her mind as she did when meditating, and waited for the fogginess to clear.
