Book Binge Time! Oh, And "Witch's Moon" is at the Editor's.

Whooh! "Witch's Moon" is officially being edited by the lovely ladies at Wicked Dragon Writing Solutions. Words cannot express how manically I was working on it because, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I didn't figure out what was bugging me about the ending until after I commited to an editing block. So I spent the entire month of May frantically re-writing the last third of the book.

But it's done! I have some time until I get it back. I have spent the last several days happily binge reading because I went a whole month without reading anything but my own writing. I can happily blame today's late post on the burning need to finish "The Hanged Man" by P.N. Elrod. Fantastic steam punky gumshoe mystery set in an alternate Victorian age London. Anyway, that was just one of the five books I've read since Friday evening.

On other fronts, I am cat-sitting for my brother. It's been an experience because on of his cats is like an evil gargoyle that's taken up residence in the crawl space under my house and only allows me to view her from a distance while I replenish her royal food and water. The other is a very talkative Siamese named Puma who doesn't have any sense of personal space. That's made life with my older long hairs calico named Callie interesting, as she's a jealous little turd. They have literally fought over who gets to sit on my butt when I'm laying on my belly, reading. At least im loved, right?

Yay, reading! I need to get back to reading too. All my shows are off for the summer so there's not much else to do before bed. I'll see what I can do about the pile.

Ah, cats. Stray Kitty used to stay just out of reach while I doled out the food. He didn't like to be touched. This is where dogs are better than cats. Dogs are so needy they'll let anybody pet them.

Yay you! I've have Witch's Moon on my radar to read over... I've been so busy, then wore myself out doing physical stuff that had to get done.

My kitty, who passed away recently at fifteen, was a feral cat originally, and touchy. But she turned into the most loving cat I've ever known.

Yeah, my dog is not that needy to let just anyone pet him, which is one thing I like about him.
