When her head began to clear...
When her head began to clear, and the throbbing spin ceased, Sherilyn focused on what was happening to her. Zance, the one with the dark-blondish shorter hair, and wearing a sienna-colored Stetson, carried her inside.
Damn, his muscles really are like bands of steel...forged in fire steel. How strong is he?
Having not weighed herself since her late twenties, because she no longer cared, still, Sherilyn guessed her weight to be around hundred-twenty pounds, give or take.
But, the rich rancher, as she now thought of him, handled her like she was some super-thin, petite thing--especially as he lowered her. Gently, he placed her on a man-sized couch with ultra-thick cushions.
Tickling her nostrils, the scent of cedarwood hung heavy in the air. Sherilyn wondered if they burned the wood in the adobe style hearth she'd caught a glimpse of, once Zance propped her up.
Unreal. I feel unreal, Sherilyn thought, watching him crouch before her.
