When Letters To The Editor Go Bad...

Morning all!

So I'm feeling a little silly today and got to wondering what would happen if werewolves took over a town newspaper...what changes would they make and who would complain?

What do you think a wolf pack might add to the local newspaper?

To Whom it May Concern:

I'm writing today to question your recent edition of the newly, and inappropriately, named Guts and Butts Gazette.

I am unsure as to what has happened to our hometown newspaper, but it would be good for you to know the members of this community are shocked and dismayed by the new format. Being of the older generation, I start my day by reading the obituaries to find out if dear friends or long time neighbors have passed. What was once named Our Fondest Farewells has been re-titled and is now called Roadkill and excuse me, but featured are people who are not yet dead. As I said, inappropriate.

Let me now move on to the front page. Gone is the national news and local happenings only to be replaced by hunting stories with ~shudder~ pictures of kills. I do not care to see blood and gore over breakfast. Thank you.

And finally, the personals. In no way is Bitchz in Heat appropriate.

Please return to the original format and thank you for your time.

hehe...Thanks Rebecca!

OMG, that is too funny. Serena, you're my Hero of the Week. Don't forget they'd increase the sports pages, with emphasis on track and field, i.e., who runs the fastest ... and who doesn't.

Serena Shay said...

~big grin~ Yay! Thanks Pat, I've never been a Hero of the Week, but I'm liking it!!

Oh definitely a sports section! Track and field would be the top sport, I'm sure. Maybe there would be wrestling, as well, you know whose the easiest to pin...or perhaps that belongs in the personals. ;)

He, he. I think Sunday needs to be the Guts and Butts Gazette day.

:) I'm all for that, Rebecca. Just think of all of the interesting articles those spunky werewolves can put out there! LOL

If anybody's wolves start speaking to them, feel free to grab the gazette and give us the lowdown.

The Sunday edition of The Guts and Butts Gazette ~ that would be werewolf awesome... though, really, I think they could figure out a better use for Kitty ~Cat~ Collins... than roadkill... surely someone needs a mate... ???

LOL, That's what I thought too, Savanna. But I guess Kitty ~Cat~ Collins rubbed them the wrong way with her letter. ;)

Run Kitty run! come one, who's going to rescue kitty?

Rebecca Gillan said...

Maybe Kitty needs to protest the offices of the news paper... and maybe have a "run in" with the cheif editor...

There definitely needs to be a coyote on staff ... maybe the photographer ... or a "cub" reporter?

I go away for a few days and look what happens. We get a new newspaper! I loved reading this.
Great post!

Savanna Kougar said...

Yeah, Jimmy Olsen, coyote cub reporter.

Dibs on Clark 'White Fang' Kent, super shapeshifter from another planet.

Serena Shay said...

OMGosh ladies, I can't wait to see what happens on Sun. Who will we hear from...Clark 'White Fang' Kent or that cute coyote cub reporter? Maybe someone else?

I wanna be the sports reporter! Mooney McMahon just sounds like a good werewolf sports reporter name. I even have a great story idea!

Serena Shay said...

Tag Rebecca...you're it! ;) hehe Mooney McMahon, great name!

Thanks Solara! I was feeling a little silly today. Hope your time away was quite relaxing. :)

Go for it, Rebecca! And Savanna, we have to pair White Fang with Lois "Leopard" Lane, intrepid award-winning reporter who knows how to sniff out and track down a good lead and rips the throats out of the competition. Sometimes literally.

Pat, absolutely... uh oh, isn't *Kitty* Lois "Leopard" Lane's long lost cousin???
